In this section of the exam, you will be expected to play two eight bar lead solo performances.
First Lead Solo Performance: The music styles used for the your first Lead Solo Performance must differ from those used in your compositions.
Second Lead Solo Performance: The music style used for your second lead solo performance must again differ from those used in your compositions and previous lead solo performance.
An example of a rock style solo can be found on the CD and inside the book; however this must not be copied in anyway.”
You can find full mixed tracks of each style required for the exam on the CD which accompanies the ‘Compose Play LIVE!’ These tracks are exactly what you may expect the guitarist and drummer to play during your exam.
